Salute to Five Star Generals

On Wednesday, July 3, Governor Mike Parson joined Dean Plocger, Speaker of the Missouri House Representatives, for a “Salute to Five-Star Generals” event, honoring the legacy of Missouri’s two Five-Star Generals. 

The bronze busts of General John “Black Jack” Pershing and General Omar N. Bradley were moved from the “Hall of Famous Missourians” on the third floor of the Missouri State Capitol to the second floor alcoves just outside of the Governor’s Office. Flags and lighting were added to create a significant display.
